Blame Game

From: 8-1-06

The world situation we are in has to fall on someone’s shoulders. There has to be something that sparked radical Islam. Let’s play the blame game.

Technically the spark of Islamic fascism was sparked in 500 A.D. when the prophet Muhammad raided caravans because they were not Muslim. But the present form of radical Islam was caused by whom? Well let’s analyze that. Knock out current Bush because he was in office less than a year before 9-11. Reagan stood up to Communism but really didn’t get involved in any Islamic happenings. And Bush 41 didn’t take on anybody except Saddam Hussein. Really, there are two Presidents primarily responsible for the spread of radical Islam, and the both have a “D” next to their name.

First Jimmy Carter let the Shah of Iran fall to the Islamic fascists after the Shah died and the hostage situation was resolved. He let it happen without moving a finger to stop it. Then when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan, instead of facing down the Communists like John F. Kennedy, Carter gave weapons and resources to the freedom fighters in the region. That sounds well and good but Carter apparently didn’t realize that he was giving weapons to people that hated the U.S. more than they hated the Soviets. But Islamic fundamentalist movement wasn’t felt because of their lack of weapons or confidence. But Carter gave them both. By defeating the Soviets the Islamists got the confidence to take on what they think is the great Satan, the United States, by using the same weapons that we gave to them. Jimmy Carter lit the fuse.

After Carter lit the fuse the Jihad front was pretty quiet until 1993 when Ramzi Yousef came to America to topple the World Trade Center. He tried but failed. But the President Bill Clinton did minimal to find the perpetrator Yousef. But to Clinton’s credit they did catch him, but if the Clinton administration would have looked closer than they would have uncovered the terror network led by Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden was a sponsor to Yousef’s attack, and bin Laden would sponsor numerous more. Clinton even had not one but two opportunities to kill bin Laden. The military had his exact location in both attempts. The first was cancelled because there was a rumor that there was a jungle gym and Clinton didn’t want to hurt children. The second try they made sure there were no women and children but there was proof of the son of the leader of the United Arab Emirates was meeting with bin Laden the terrorist. So because Clinton didn’t want to hurt relations with an oil rich nation he cancelled the attack again and let bin Laden permanently escape. It is also noteworthy to mention his inaction after the U.S.S. Cole bombing. Even after promising to do something about it, he did absolutely nothing. So after Carter lit the fuse, Clinton let it burn.

The incompetence of two former Presidents led to the situation we are facing now with Islamic Fascism. George W. Bush was truthfully a victim of circumstance. As Jimmy Carter lit the fuse and Bill Clinton couldn’t bring himself to throw water on it, the blame can be shared by the last two Democratic Presidents.
